Two of the league's hottest teams locked horns on Thursday in Yorkton, and it was the Terriers extended their winning streak to seven games with a 3-2 (OT) decision over Battlefords. The Stars came into action riding a five game string.
The Stars led 2-1 late in the third after goals from Joren Johnson and Brody Luhning. John Neibrandt tied it with his first of the year with 2:11 remaining, and Derek Falloon won it on a powerplay in overtime. Nathan Murray (1g-1a) opened the scoring, while Patrick Martens added two assists.
The Terriers now lead the league with 39 points and a .722 winning percentage.
