1-YORKTON TERRIERS (25-9-0-2)  ... 1st last week
They have a target on their back down the stretch as the odds-on favorites.

2-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (23-10-2-0) ... 2nd last week
Broncos have rattled off wins in six straight and are nearly unbeatable at EPA.

3-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (22-12-2-2) ... 5th last week
Stole a point in a lacklustre first game back after Christmas and have won three straight since.

4-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (22-11-0-3) ... 3rd last week
Disappointing first game back and Hound teams of years’ past have struggled to elevate play down the stretch.  A big test for the 2013 club awaits.

5-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (23-14-0-0) ... 4th last week
Lots of firepower failed to generate a goal against La Ronge on Friday and, all of a sudden, there are some forwards with underachieving numbers.

6-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (19-14-1-1) ... 6th last week
They don’t blow you away, they don’t have the most talent, but they are incredibly hard to play against and could be a royal pain come playoff time.

7-NIPAWIN HAWKS (18-12-1-4) ... 7th last week
Lichtenwald comes back.  The Stars are also better.  The Bombers have come back to the pack and the North Division is now a 4-horse race.

8-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (13-18-3-2) ... 10th last week
Rockie Zinger deserves a ton of credit.  The WHL comes calling for two of his best players (MacPherson, Gay) and he plugs the dike to find ways to win.

9-LA RONGE ICE WOLVES (14-20-0-3) ... 9th last week
Ice Wolves have won six of their last ten and are above .500 since dealing their veterans on December 1st.

10-MELFORT MUSTANGS (13-19-1-2) ... 11th last week
As games become important down the stretch, none was more crucial than the Mustangs defeating Notre Dame to stop six game slide.

11-WEYBURN RED WINGS (11-22-0-2) ... 12th last week
They won two straight after Christmas, but lost all three on the road this weekend.

12-ESTEVAN BRUINS (12-21-2-0) ... 8th last week
Four losses in a row and only two points ahead of the Wings for the final playoff spot in the Sherwood.  They also disappointed themselves losing both in the home and home with Weyburn last week.

WHO’S HOT

Sean Aschim, Melville (7-3-9-12) ... Exactly what Mils brass envisioned with an overload of firepower up front.

Lucas Froese, Melville (4-4-3-7) ... Back from injury and the Mils need to keep him healthy.

Carson Grolla, Notre Dame (6-1-6-7) ... The Hounds don’t get enough credit for their puck moving blueliners.

Jackson Schneider, Weyburn (5-3-4-7) ... As the Wings shuffle the deck a bit, there is room for a player like Schneider to seize more ice time.

Nick Weiss, Estevan (5-4-2-6) ... He’s posted goals in three straight games.

Matt Hrynkiw, Humboldt (4-1, 1.38, 2SO, .955) ... He gave up three Friday night.  He must’ve felt like 10 as pucks simply don’t get by him.

Davis Jones, Nipawin (4-2, 1.98, .929) ... Scholarship secured and his game continues to elevate.

Myles Hovdebo, La Ronge (2-0, 0.50, 1SO, .986) ... Blanked Flin Flon to start the stretch drive on the right foot.
