Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL)

Shots were 36-22 for Estevan, but Hawks' goalie Jordan Liem stopped all 36 he faced for his first SJHL shutout, and Nipawin beat the Bruins 1-0 on Thursday.

Taylor Balog's powerplay goal at 19:48 of the first period was the game's only goal.

Curtis Martinu stopped 21/22 shots in goal for Estevan.

The Hawks are now tied for second place with Flin Flon, with a game in hand.  A Hawks/Bombers first round is looking like a pretty good bet, as those teams will fight for home ice advantage down the stretch.

The loss keeps the Bruins one point out of fourth.
