TUESDAY RECAP: Bruins, Wings hit the board

ESTEVAN, SK – Estevan and Weyburn are on the board.

Keagon Little notched three points, including the game-winner, as the Estevan Bruins roared back from down 3-0 with five minutes left in the second period to take Game 3 4-3 over the Melfort Mustangs at Affinity Place.

Up Highway 39 at Crescent Point Place the Weyburn Red Wings got a goal and an assist from Jaxson Ruthven and cut the Humboldt Broncos series lead in half with a come-from-behind 5-3 victory.

In the first post-season game since 2018 in Melville, the Mils blew a 3-1 third-period lead as SGEU MVP of the Year Kian Bell led the Battlefords North Stars to a 5-3 win. The defending champs scored four goals in the final frame for the victory.

Finally at the first playoff game in Kindersley since 2019, the No. 1 seed Flin Flon Bombers took care of business. Carter Anderson tallied two goals and an assist en route to a 5-2 win at the West Central Events Centre.

Flin Flon – Kindersley: Bombers lead 3-0

Melfort – Estevan: Mustangs lead 2-1

Humboldt – Weyburn: Broncos lead 2-1

Battlefords – Melville: North Stars lead 3-0
