SJHL Hall of Fame
The Hockey Hall of Fame shall include:
- 12 Team Wall of Honour
- 1 League Wall of Honour
- 1 SJHL Hockey Hall of Fame
The objective of the Hall of Fame is to:
- Honour those deserving of recognition
- Highlight program success - players, officials, coaches who have used SJHL programs as a springboard for success
Team Wall of Honour:
Each team's Wall of Honour celebrates success in the following categories:
1. Player Development and Advancement
The following attributes are the basis on which the election of Nominees to Honoured Membership are to be considered. Any player who has played with the team and has advanced his playing career at a higher level. Criteria shall include the following:
- NHL Player – played a game in the NHL
- Minor League Professional Player
- CIS, NCAA, College Player
- Major Junior
2. Builder
The following attributes are the basis on which the election of nominees to Honoured Membership are to be considered.
Outstanding Coaching, managerial or executive ability, sportsmanship, character and their long standing contribution to their organizations and to the game of hockey in general.
3. Outstanding Achievement
The following attributes are the basis on which the election of nominees to Honoured Membership are to be considered. Any individual who has been deemed to have achieved achievements in the game, business or community. Achievement have been marked by unprecedented success, innovation, and leadership in the game, business or community.
Been nominated to other significant Wall of Fame
- IIHF – Participation
- NHL Stanley Cup and Award Winners
- Outstanding Contribution to their Community or Profession
SJHL Wall Of Honour:
- Builder – Life Member

SJHL Hall of Fame
Annually teams and league (one from each) shall nominate a candidate on their team Wall of Honour to be considered for the SJHL Hall of Fame.
Nomination of Candidates
Each SJHL member team may submit official nominations of candidates for election into Honoured Membership (such nominations are considered at the AGM by the Hockey Hall of Fame Selection Committee).
Nominations from members of the Selection Committee shall be made annually in writing and must be filed with the Chairman of the Board of Directors no later than midnight on April 1 in each year. A nomination will be valid and effective only for the annual election proceedings following the filing of the nomination. Unless otherwise approved by the Board of Directors, the Annual Elections Meeting is held in June and the Annual Induction Ceremony is held in the Fall of each year.
Nominations from members of the Selection Committee shall contain the fullest possible data concerning the record and the merits for each candidate nominated.
A selection process based on merit and other determined criteria shall select no more than six Wall of Fame Inductees per year. A Hall of Fame Game shall be played in conjunction with the Hall of Fame weekend. A Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony will highlight the celebration.
