A proud farewell for the now former La Ronge Ice Wolf. Doell was traded to the Melfort Mustangs on the morning of November 23rd. Before that, he helped lead La Ronge to back-to-back victories over the Weyburn Red Wings, scoring a goal in a 6-3 win on Thursday, before netting a hat-trick in a 6-5 win on Friday, his final game with the Ice Wolves.

RBC FORWARD OF THE WEEK: Drew Kuzma, Weyburn Red Wings

Although the Red Wings lost all three games this week, there’s no doubting who led the offense along the way. Kuzma scored his 5th goal of the year in a 4-2 loss to the Nipawin Hawks on Tuesday. He then had his highest single game output this season, scoring his first career hat-trick and adding an assist in a 6-5 loss to the Ice Wolves on Friday. The St. Albert, AB native now has 15 points in 20 games this year.

MAYFAIR DIAGNOSTICS SJHL DEFENCEMAN OF THE WEEK: Tre Fouquette, La Ronge Ice Wolves

Fouquette was tied for the league lead in points scored this week among all SJHL’ers, let alone defenseman. The 2004 born rookie blueliner exploded for four points in the Wolves 6-3 win over the Red Wings in Thursday, before picking up another helper in the 6-5 win on Friday. With the Wolves trade of Nolan Doell making it look like they’re heading into a rebuild, Tre Fouquette plans to be a major facet of future Ice Wolves’ teams as long as he is there.

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK: Rayce Ramsay, Humboldt Broncos

The workhorse goalie from Humboldt continued his absurd stretch of playing time this past week. Ramsay started his 13th and 14th game in a row for the Broncos picking up back-to-back victories. Ramsay has gone and even more impressive 13-1 during that stretch. The league leader in wins (19), minutes (1364), and saves (610) stopped 26 of 28 and both attempts in the shootout in a 3-2 (SO) win over the Nipawin Hawks on Saturday. Less than 24 hours later he denied 33 of 34 in a 5-1 win on the road over the Notre Dame Hounds.
