The all-time SJHL single season wins record belongs to Rayce Ramsay.
The Humboldt Broncos veteran goaltender picked up his 40th win of the season on Wednesday, March 2nd against the Kindersley Klippers. The victory broke the longstanding record of 39 wins which was set by former Broncos goalie, Pat Mazzoli in the 1989/90 SJHL season.
Mazzoli accomplished the feat in a 68 game schedule, making Ramsay’s accomplishment that much more spectacular, setting the bar of 40 wins in a 58 game season.
Rayce Ramsay joined Rory McGouran and Jamie Neugebauer on this past week’s edition of SJ @ Noon to discuss his record breaking win and much more.
Here is the audio file of Rayce Ramsay’s interview:
Ramsay currently has a 40-9-0-0 record with the Broncos in his final year of junior hockey, while posting a 2.00 GAA and .930 SV%.
He recently committed to the University of Toronto where he will continue his hockey career with the Varsity Blues for the 2022/23 season, while pursuing his post secondary education.
