One of the more major moves at the January 10th trade deadline saw a new face return to the SJHL, but with a new team. Ben Allen spent last season in Battlefords winning a Canalta Cup Championship with the North Stars. He put up 45-points (19g-26a) in 44-games with the Stars, and another 13 points (7g-6a) while helping them to a perfect 12-0 playoff run en route to the title. Allen was then moved to Penticton (BCHL) in the off-season, but now he’s back and will have another shot at a championship, having joined the Melfort Mustangs, making an already potent attack that much better.
