Bombers acquire veteran goaltender Kieper

The Flin Flon Bombers have acquired goaltender Matthew Kieper (’04) from the AJHL’s Canmore Eagles in exchange for a Player Development Fee.

Kieper, 20, has appeared in 77 WHL games in his career with the Regina Pats, Kamloops Blazers and Swift Current Broncos, owning a 38-25-4 record. In the 2023-24 campaign, Kieper spent time with the Blazers, Broncos and Canmore. In 8 games with the Eagles, Kieper posted a 3-5-0-0 record along with a 4.00 GAA & .875 SV%.

With the acquisition of Kieper, the Bombers have released goaltender Jake Torget (’06) from the roster. In 2 games with the maroon and white, Torget was 0-2-0-0 and posted a 3.61 GAA & .872 SV%.
