After signing BCHL forward Ryder Ringor, less than a week later the Bombers have continued to bolster their forward group by adding Carter Cormier to the mix. The Kindersley, Saskatchewan product jumped to the AJHL’s Brooks Bandits after finishing his final year of U18 AAA with the Saskatchewan Legionnaires. Cormier would appear in just two games with the Bandits before wrapping up his rookie season with the MJHL’s Selkirk Steelers where he produced 52 points in 45 games and was named the MJHL’s Rookie of the Year and to the MJHL All-Rookie team. Cormier was linemates with former Bomber, Tyson Smith.

The following season Cormier would split time between the Bismarck Bobcat’s of the NAHL and the Blackfalds Bulldogs in the AJHL/BCHL. In 26 games with the Bobcats, Cormier produced 4 goals and 9 assists before making the switch over to Blackfalds. Cormier put up 21 points in 32 games with the Bulldogs.

“We are very excited to add Carter to our forward group. He is a top 6 forward that brings speed, skill and experience to our lineup.” – Bombers Head Coach & General Manager, Mike Reagan

Carter is expected to be in the lineup on Friday night when the La Ronge Ice Wolves visit the Whitney Forum.
