REGINA, SK – Sam Ward notched two assists, and the Bombers got goals from Ryder Mucha and Landon Alexander, but could not stem the tide as Flin Flon fell 7-2 to the Ontario Junior Hockey League champion Toronto Patriots in Game 2 of their Centennial Cup Saturday.

The Bombers dropped to 0-2 with the loss, while the Patriots improved to 2-0 with a virtual lock on a playoff spot in their pocket.

Alexander’s goal came mid-way through a third period in which Flin Flin outshot Toronto 14-9.

Toronto’s top line of Cole Cooksey, Luciano Bruno, and Tommy Karmiris combined for three goals and nine points on the day.

The five-goal deficit was the heaviest defeat of the year for the Bombers, after they had two four-goal losses to the Weyburn Red Wings, one in Round 2 of the playoffs and one on Oct. 17, 2025, in the regular season.

Charlie Tritt and Finn Werner combined for 28 stops in the loss, while Trey Caracciolo made 30 saves for the Patriots.

Flin Flon still has hope to reach the quarterfinal as they have two games remaining in the group stage, and the top three of five teams make the playoff round.

Highlights, presented by HN Live, still to come.
