The Flin Flon Bombers are proud to announce that hometown legend Mike Reagan has been inducted into the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Hall of Fame. Few individuals have dedicated more of their life to the Bombers organization than Reagan, whose impact as both a player and coach has shaped generations of hockey in Flin Flon. From wearing the Maroon and White as a player to becoming the architect behind one of the most successful modern eras in franchise history, Reagan’s legacy is woven deeply into the identity of the Bombers.

Raised in Flin Flon, Reagan first made his mark with the Bombers as a player from 1996 to 2000. During his outstanding junior career, he became one of the most productive players in franchise history, recording 80 goals and 125 assists while appearing in a remarkable 239 games — still the most games played by a Bomber all-time. His consistency, leadership, and work ethic quickly earned him the respect of teammates, coaches, and fans throughout the SJHL. Reagan made his dream of playing/dedicating for his hometown team a reality.

By the end of his playing career, Reagan had established himself as the fourth-leading scorer in Bombers history, a testament to both his offensive abilities and longevity. More importantly, he represented the values of the organization every single night. He played with pride for his hometown team and built a connection with the community that continues to this day.

In 2007, Reagan stepped behind the bench as Head Coach of the Bombers, beginning what would become one of the most accomplished coaching careers in SJHL history. Nearly two decades later, he remains the bench boss in Flin Flon and is currently the longest-serving head coach in the SJHL. His longevity is a reflection of not only his success, but the trust and respect he has earned throughout the league.

Under Reagan’s leadership, the Bombers have become one of the premier programs in Canadian Junior A hockey. Entering the Hall of Fame with an incredible coaching record of 606 wins, 334 losses, and 88 overtime losses, Reagan holds the distinction of being the winningest coach in Flin Flon Bombers history. Year after year, his teams have been defined by discipline, work ethic, accountability, and relentless competitiveness. Having never missing the playoffs during his tenure.

Reagan has guided the Bombers to an incredible six SJHL Final appearances during his tenure behind the bench. Those playoff runs helped restore the Bombers as a perennial championship contender and brought some of the most memorable moments in recent franchise history back to the Whitney Forum. His ability to consistently build competitive teams in one of junior hockey’s most passionate markets has become a defining part of his coaching legacy.

The crowning achievement of Reagan’s coaching career came during the 2025–26 season when he led the Bombers to an SJHL Championship. Ending a 33 year, 12,055+ day drought in the town he has called home his entire life. The title marked a historic moment for the organization and further cemented Reagan’s place among the greatest coaches in league history. Two seasons earlier, he was also recognized nationally after being named the 2023-2024 SJHL and CJHL Coach of the Year, an honor that reflected the respect he has earned across Canadian junior hockey.

Beyond team success, Reagan has had a profound impact on the lives and futures of his players. Over the course of his coaching career, more than 40 Bombers players have earned NCAA Division I scholarships under his leadership. His commitment to player development has opened doors for countless young athletes, helping them achieve opportunities both on and off the ice!

Reagan’s reputation has also extended far beyond Flin Flon and the SJHL. He has represented Hockey Canada West on five different occasions, serving as a two-time Head Coach, one time Assistant Coach, Video Coach, and Guest Coach. Reagan has compiled two gold medals and one bronze medal as well. These opportunities showcased not only his hockey knowledge, but also the respect he commands throughout the Canadian hockey community.

Mike Reagan’s Hall of Fame induction celebrates far more than wins, championships, or accolades. It honors a lifetime devoted to the Flin Flon Bombers, the SJHL, and the community he proudly calls home. As a player, coach, mentor, and leader, Reagan has helped define what Bombers hockey means for an entire generation. The Bombers organization proudly congratulates Mike Reagan on his induction into the SJHL Hall of Fame — a recognition that is both historic and richly deserved.

The Flin Flon Bombers are proud to be awarded the SJHL Hall of Fame for the 2026/27 season, the 100th for the storied franchise.  The event will take place during the Bombers home opener weekend, September 25 and 26, 2026.
