The Flin Flon Bombers are pleased to announce that graduating defenceman Rylan Thiessen has committed to Brock University (U-Sports).

Thiessen, who came to the Bombers after starting the season with the WHL’s Swift Current Broncos, played an instrumental role on the backend. In 33 regular season games, Rylan produced 26 points (5g, 21a) and chipped in with 10 points (2g, 8a) in 14 playoff games. In January, Thiessen was named an alternate captain for the club.

“I chose Brock University shortly after being in contact with them. I knew I wanted to go somewhere east to further my hockey career and when I learned more about Brock as a school and hockey program, it made my decision very easy.” – Bombers Defenceman, Rylan Thiessen

The Brock University Badgers currently play in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) West conference and finished the 2021-22 season with a 7-5-2 record.
