MELVILLE, SK – Flin Flon Bombers’ goaltender Charlie Tritt has committed to Lake Superior State University of NCAA Division I for the 2026-27 season.
Tritt, 20, has split this season between the Humboldt Broncos and the Bombers, the latter of whom acquired him at the trade deadline.
“Charlie is one of the hardest working players I’ve ever dealt with in all my years coaching junior,” said Humboldt Broncos coach/GM Brayden Klimosko.
“He always wants to get better, grow his game, and he has the confidence in himself that he can move on to many levels in hockey. I am so excited to see him move on to his next chapter after this year.”
“Charlie has been with us for two weeks,” said Mike Reagan, his current coach in Flin Flin, “but given the work ethic he has, you can see why he has the numbers he has.”
“He has a top-level work ethic in practice, and commitment to his team, and we could not be happier for him, and for the league.
The Vancouver, B.C. native leads all qualified SJHL goaltenders in goals-against average (2.18), save percentage (.938), and shutouts (3).
Before joining the Broncos ahead of this campaign, he appeared in 49 BCHL games with the Langley Rivermen and six North American Hockey League contests with the Chippewa Steel.
In 21 appearances this season, Tritt owns a record of 13-8-0-0.
LSSU is based in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and the men’s hockey team play in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association.
