The Humboldt Broncos are proud to announce the acquisition of 2004-born defenseman Orin Olson from the Lloydminster Bobcats in exchange for the playing rights to Ben Costantino and a PDF.

Olson, from Chaplin, SK, played 50 games with the Bobcats last season, picking up 13 points (3g,10a) along with 111 PIMs. He added 3 points in 6 playoff games.

“We’re excited to add Orin to our blueline. He’s a solid defender who’s responsible in his own zone, a left-shot defenseman which fills a need on our roster, and he’s a Saskatchewan born kid so were happy he gets to play in the SJHL closer to home. It’s a trade that’s going to solidify our D core with a ton of experience,” said Head Coach and GM, Brayden Klimosko.

Olson brings 113 games of AJHL experience to the Broncos.

He finished his minor hockey career with the Moose Jaw Warriors U18 AAA program.
The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to welcome Orin and his family to the organization and community
