Three-year Humboldt Bronco veteran defenseman, Cody Hough has announced his commitment to St. Norbert College to continue his hockey career and academic pursuits.
Hough, a Maple Ridge, BC native, joined the Broncos at the start of the 2019/20 season and proved to be one of the bright young defensemen in the SJHL during in his rookie season, gathering 24 points (4g, 20a) in 46 games.
His skating ability and offensive vision for the game made him a mainstay on the Broncos’ blueline. Over the course of his tenure with the Green and Gold, Hough racked up 54 points in 106 games, adding another five in 13 playoff games.
“We’re very excited for Cody getting the committed to St. Norbert. He’s worked extremely hard over the past three seasons with the Broncos,” said Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney. “He is a player that brings a lot of offensive intangibles that many players, especially defensemen, don’t posses. We’re happy for him and excited to follow his continued success on and off the ice.”
Hough marks the 9th post-secondary commitment for the Humboldt Broncos stemming from their 2021/22 team.
St. Norbert College is in De Pere, Wisconsin. Their men’s hockey program has taken home 5 NCAA DIV III National Championships, winning in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2018.
