Notre Dame Hounds’ defenceman Trey Taylor has committed to Northland College of NCAA Division III hockey for the 2022-2023 campaign.
Northland College, based in Ashland, WI, plays in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference of the NCAA.
Taylor, 20, joined the Junior A Hounds before the 2020-2021 SJHL season, and posted 13 points over 51 contests since. A native of Abbotsford, BC, he led the Hounds with an unofficial total of 33 blocked shots in the 21-22 regular season, and was widely considered one of the best shot blockers in the entire league.
A 5-foot-11, 205-pound blue liner, Taylor spent two years with the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds U18s in BC minor hockey, and two with Yale Hockey Academy of the CSSHL, before becoming a Hound in 2020.
