It has been an incredible start to a Junior career for 16-year-old Carsten Kayter of the Humboldt Broncos.

To start the year, Kayter was one of three 16-year-olds to start the campaign with an SJHL team, and Kayter has been a stand out for the Humboldt Broncos in his rookie campaign.

The Warman, Saskatchewan product has played in many different scenarios for the Broncos this year and has also found his touch offensively with 3 goals and 21 assists in 38 games played this season.

Kayter is currently 7th in SJHL rookie scoring, but is 1st among rookie defenceman.

Thanks to his impressive play, Kayter earned a commitment to the University of Nebraska-Omaha (NCAA Div 1) and was also named to the SJHL’s U18 Team for the SJHL/MJHL Showcase next week in Winnipeg.

Kayter will look to continue his strong play this season when the Broncos hit the road this weekend to Melville and Melfort this week as they look to solidify their spot at the top of the SJHL standings.
