MELVILLE, SK – Matty Edwards jammed home the winner and the game’s only goal at the 10-minute mark of the third period as the Melville Millionaires edged their Bunge Division rival Estevan Bruins 1-0 Tuesday.
Noah Sinagowitz made 27 stops for his first career junior shutout, while Nathan Kam was equally sharp in making 22 saves for Estevan.
The Millionaires held a pre-game ceremony in honour of Remembrance Day as veterans of Canada’s contribution to NATO’s forces in Latvia dropped the ceremonial face-off.
Melville also played on Remembrance Day a year ago, falling 4-3 in Weyburn that night.
