The countdown to the 2023-2024 SJHL regular season is on and the games begin for real in just 9 days. Today we continue our SJHL season previews with a look at the reining Viterra division champions, the Estevan Bruins.
Despite losing a good portion of their line-up from hosting the Centennial Cup, the Bruins finished last year with a 28-23-3-2 record and in 6th place in the SJHL standings, winning the Viterra division.
After suffering a heartbreaking loss in the opening round of the playoffs last year to the Flin Flon Bombers in overtime of Game 7, the Bruins are hopeful to be back near the top of the standings this season.
SJHL Director of Media Jeromy Corrigan sat down with Bruins Head Coach and General Manager Jason Tatarnic to get his thoughts on the off-season and the upcoming year for his club.
