REGINA, SK – Finlay Klippenstein notched his first career SJHL hat trick and the Battlefords North Stars upended the Flin Flon Bombers 4-2 on a four-game Friday night in the league.

Klippenstein also added an assist and now has 15 goals in the last 15 games.

Battlefords moved one point ahead of idle Kindersley for fifth place.

Weyburn took advantage of Flin Flon’s defeat, withstanding a furious Warman rally to down the Wolverines 7-4.

Callas Pierce led the way with two goals and an assist in the win.

Rookie goaltender Nate Stevens now has eight wins out of 10 starts.

In Estevan, it was all Melville as the Millionaires got a goal and a helper from Yibin Yoo, and 26 stops from Noah Sinagowitz, en route to a 5-1 victory vs. their Bunge Division rival Bruins.

Three other Mils also had multi-point nights.

The Humboldt Broncos scored three times in the third period, including the winner from Connor Miller with just over two minutes remaining in regulation, and slipped into a playoff spot with a 4-2 win over the Melfort Mustangs.

It was the Division I University of Augustana commit’s second of the contest.

Brady Holtvogt made 32 stops for his second win in as many games in the Humboldt net this year since his return from the Western Hockey League.
