Brett Kemp had four goals and two assists as the Yorkton Terriers went to Melville and beat the Millionaires 6-3.

Kemp had 30-goals and 77-points with Medicine Hat in the Western League last season and is one of a handful of WHL players in Yorkton, and the SJHL waiting for the start of the WHL season.  Fellow Western Leaguer Kishaun Gervais added two goals and an assist.  Gervais played in Portland last season and was a full time Terrier the year before when he was 17.

Jaydon Dureau added a goal for Melville.  He had 70-points (19g-51a) in Portland last season and was drafted by Tampa Bay in the 5th round of the NHL Draft this month.

Michael Makarenko scored twice to lead the Nipawin Hawks over the Melfort Mustangs 5-1.

The Hawks allowed just 13 shots on the night with Chase Hamm stopping all 8 shots he faced in half a game.

Adam Nobes replied for Melfort.  The two clubs play their fourth and final pre season meeting Saturday night in Nipawin.

Joseph Young made 30/32 saves and the Weyburn Red Wings downed the Estevan Bruins 5-2.

The Red Wings had five different scorers, including Dante Ballarin and Nolan Cunningham who each had a goal and an assist.

Kade McMillen and Cody Davis did the scoring for Estevan.  They’ll also square off one more time tonight (SAT) in Estevan.
