REGINA, SK – Mason Lowther’s goal at the 13:45 mark of the second period held up as the winner as the Nipawin Hawks held off a furious third-period rally to edge the Humboldt Broncos Sunday.

Colten Scott made 28 stops for his sixth win of the campaign, while Witt Whitter led the way offensively with a goal and an assist in the victory.

Entering the third period down 3-0, the Broncos got goals from Tyce Penrod and Oliver Phillips but could not find the equalizer in a penalty-filled final frame.

Brady Holtvogt made 34 saves in defeat.
