REGINA, SK – Nipawin Hawks forward Eric Hoiness has committed to the University of Regina of USports for the 2026-27 CanadaWest campaign.
Hoiness, 21, scored 21 goals and 62 games while playing all 56 regular-season games for the Hawks for the second consecutive season.
In 170 regular-season SJHL contests, the Saskatoon, SK native posted 47 goals and 90 assists for 137 points between 2021 and 2026.
This past postseason was his first, and he scored a goal and six points in six contests.
The University of Regina iced 16 SJHL alums this past season, and has also committed to recently graduated SJHLers Rylan Pearce (Weyburn, Flin Flon), Noah Asmundson (Estevan, Humboldt), and Boston Harkness (Melville).
