REGINA, SK – Nipawin Hawks forward Braeden Jockims has committed to the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) of NCAA Division III for the 2026-27 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association campaign.
Jockims, 20, posted 35 goals and 58 points in 60 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League regular season games, all with the Hawks. He added three points in six post-season SJHL contests.
Between 2021 and 2026, Jockims appeared in 171 regular season junior hockey games between the Western Hockey League’s Portland Winterhawks, the North American Hockey League’s Minot Minotauros, and the Hawks. Over that span, he featured in 21 playoff games.
A 6-foot, 183-pound centreman from Saskatoon, SK, he rejoined the Hawks from Minot part-way through this past season, scoring 20 goals and 33 points in 30 games to help Nipawin to a No. 4 seed and home-ice advantage in Round 1 of the playoffs.
He was selected in the second round, 17th overall by the Hawks in the 2020 SJHL Draft.
Braeden’s older brother Rylan just completed his sophomore campaign as a defenceman with MSOE, while their big sister Kaitlin finished her first professional season this past year with Djurgardens in Sweden.
