The Nipawin Hawks flew out to a 4-0 first period lead, and with League MVP Kristian Stead between the pipes, that was more than enough as the Hawks rolled to a 4-1 win over the visiting Flin Flon Bombers, to take a commanding 3-1 series lead.

Brett Harasymuk got it started just 43 seconds in, and the line of Brandan Arnold, Eric Bolden and Josh Bly took things over.  Bolden had two goals and an assist, Arnold had three helpers and Bly added a goal and an assist as that line combined for 3-goals and 8-points.

Stead had the night off in Game 3 on Tuesday but returned to the cage for Game 4, turning away 34 of 35 shots, improving his personal mark to 7-0 in the post-season, to go along with a 1.57 GAA and a .954%.  His save percentage in the series sis .963%.

For the Bombers, Teal Sobkowicz potted a second period goal, while Zac Robidoux surrendered the four first period goals before Brenden Newton came in and stopped all 22 shot he faced.

Flin now faces a must-win Game 5 on home ice Friday night.  A Hawks win would send them to the Canalta Cup Final against the Battlefords North Stars.
