DAVIDSON, SK – Gage Roberts stopped all 25 shots he faced, and the Nipawin Hawks blanked the Flin Flon Bombers 3-0 Tuesday night at the Centennial Arena in Nipawin.
It was the Bombers’ first regulation loss in 26 contests since Oct. 30, 2024, and the first time they had been shut out since Oct. 22.
The Hawks’ win was their second in two weeks against teams in the Top two of the standings. On Jan. 25, they defeated the No. 1 seed Melfort Mustangs.
Those Mustangs got a goal and an assist from Zac Somers as they downed the Yorkton Terriers 3-1 at the Westland Arena in Yorkton.
Finally, at a neutral-site game in Davidson, SK, the Battlefords North Stars snapped their four-game skid with a 4-1 win via a dominant two-point night from Nikita Ivaschenko.
