The Notre Dame Hounds have traded Matteo Speranza to the Niverville Night Hawks of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for a player development fee.
Speranza, 20, has posted 38 points in 83 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey Games, split between the Weyburn Red Wings and the Hounds. The Langley, BC native was acquired by Notre Dame from Weyburn in December of 2022, and 74 of those 83 games were with ND.
He also has three games of British Columbia Hockey League experience, served as a call-up for the Surrey Eagles in the 2021-2022 campaign while a member of the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds U18.
