HOUNDS WIN THIRD STRAIGHT

Just One Game Tuesday

The Notre Dame Hounds are now winners of three straight and five of their last six, after a 4-2 win over the visiting Weyburn Red Wings on Tuesday night.

The Red Wings (5-5-1-0) jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead, as Ben Hiltz opened the scoring on the powerplay with his 9th of the season and Connor Pyne extended the lead.  Carson Scheschuk assist on both Cody Levesque made 36/39 saves.

Marshall Wilton got Notre Dame on the board before the first period was out and that was the first of four unanswered.  Qaritag Kusugak-Clark (1g-1a) evened it up in the second period, before Charles Martin and Tanner Tarbell tacked on third period markers.  Andrew Henderson made 24/26 saves for the Hounds (6-7-0-0).

There are three games on Wednesday, and the Hounds have a chance to get to .500 after starting the season 1-6-0-0 as they head to Yorkton.  La Ronge travels to Battlefords and Humboldt visits Kindersley.
