ICE WOLVES HAND HAWKS FIRST LOSS

After losing their first game of the season, the La Ronge Ice Wolves have now won three in a row and are tied for the best record in the league through four games, as they handed the previously unbeaten Nipawin Hawks their first defeat this season, 6-3 on Tuesday night.

Spencer Kennedy had two goals and an assist, and his five goals has his tied for the league lead through the first four games.  Holden Knights opened the scoring, his fourth goal in as many games to start the season.  Beau Larson scored twice and 17-year-old defenseman Nolan Allan rounded out the scoring.  Allan has points (2g-3a) in all four games this season and spent the 2019-20 season full time with the Prince Albert Raiders as a 16-year-old.

Xavier Cannon made 30/33 saves for the Ice Wolves (3-1-0-0).

Jaxsen Wiebe (1g-1a), Jeremy Rainville and Michael Makarenko did the scoring for the Hawks (3-1-0-0).
