VOSSEN RELIEVED OF DUTIES
News Release February 20th, 2019
The La Ronge Ice Wolves announced today that they would not be seeking to renew Head Coach/General Manager Evan Vossen’s contract for the 2019/20 season. Assistant Coach Gaelen Patterson will take over as interim head coach for the remaining games of the 2018/19 season. Terry “Moose” Hunt will help Patterson as interim Assistant Coach. Travis Hegland will continue as Athletic Therapist. The club will begin recruitment for a new Head Coach/GM as soon as the season is complete.
“The Ice Wolves would like to thank Evan Vossen for his hard work and dedication over the last 2 1/2 years,” said President Grant Merriman. “The Board felt that in fairness to our dedicated fans, sponsors, players, and prospects that a fresh direction was needed. We wish Evan the best in his future endeavors.”
