JOB OPENING: Battlefords seeking term Office & Marketing Manager

Office & Marketing Manager – Battlefords North Stars Hockey Club

Job Length: 6 months maternity leave cover with a start date of October 15th Wage: To be discussed

Position Summary: Responsible for the day- to-day office jobs such as, but not limited to, administrative items, season and game-day ticket sales and website. Also assist in marketing the hockey club in the Battlefords and surrounding communities through game-day events, public relations and community events. This job also includes managing relationships with corporate sponsors and season ticket holders, as well all patrons of the Battlefords North Stars and other community groups. The Office & Marketing Manager will also run all game-day activities including but not limited to intermission activities, corporate box bookings, birthday parties and all social media posts. Reports to the General Manager & Executive Board.

Position Duties:

Marketing

▪ Responsibilities will include communicating with corporate sponsors to design special promotions for their game-day. (P.A. Announcements, program inserts, on and off ice promotions, program prizes, etc)

▪ Designing and proofing advertising for radio, billboards, newspaper and social media.

▪ Assist with the appearance of the arena as the home of the Battlefords North Stars with lobby signs and posters as well as a presence throughout the community.

▪ Ensure all corporate sponsors contracts are met and completed by the Battlefords North Stars.

Game Night Management

  • Printing of tickets, programs and flyers, 50/50 draws, intermission activities, floats, ticket sales and scanning, merchandise booth, hot stove lounge and deposits.

Office Management

  • Answering phone calls, and emails, photocopying, filing, mailing and deposits
  • Website updates – with press releases, stories and photos and features.
  • Letter and press release writing as needed by the board of directors and the Head Coach/ General Manager.
  • Stocking supplies for the office and merchandise booth.

Meeting and Committees

  • Attending board meetings once a month to provide information and feedback of the items discussed relating to the administration and marketing of the hockey team as well as any specific duties.
