The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers are excited to announce that Captain Ethan Hilbig has committed to the University of Windsor for the 2025-2026 season. Hilbig will join two other former Klippers in Windsor: his older brother Tylin Hilbig and former Klipper Captain Logan Linklater.
In his fourth year with the team, Hilbig recently surpassed 200 junior games played. Over his time with the Klippers, he has recorded 8 goals, 38 assists, and 46 points, along with 261 penalty minutes (PIMs).
Assistant General Manager Ryan Gibson shared his thoughts on the news: “Whenever you see a player move on to college, it is obviously very exciting for everyone involved. In Ethan’s case, it is even more special because he will be reuniting with Tylin and Logan. Ethan is a team-first player and a great leader in the locker room—qualities that will contribute to his continued success when he moves on to Windsor next fall. As an organization, we couldn’t be more excited for Ethan to continue his hockey career at such a great program as Windsor’s.”
The University of Windsor Lancers compete in the OUA conference of U SPORTS and currently sit second in the OUA West division.
From the entire Klippers organization, congratulations, Ethan!
