Late Comeback Gives Bruins 3-0 Edge

The Estevan Bruins scored a pair of third period goals to come from behind and beat the Yorkton Terriers 2-1 on Tuesday night, and now have a commanding 3-0 series lead in their Best-of-Seven SJHL Semi-Final.

After a scoreless first period, former Bruin Erik Boers opened the scoring for Yorkton on a second period powerplay, and it was 1-0 Terriers after forty minutes.

Eric Pearce replied on an Estevan powerplay 6:33 into the third period, and Mikol Sartor (1g-1a) potted the winner with 4:53 left on the clock, and the Bruins hung on the rest of the way.  Boston Bilous made 28/29 saves to pick up the win, while Kael DePape stopped 23/25 at the other end.

The two teams take Wednesday night off to commemorate the 4th anniversary of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.  Game 4 goes Thursday in Yorkton.  Flin Flon and Humboldt resume their series Friday and Saturday with Games 3 and 4 in Flin Flon.  The Bombers lead that series 2-0.
