Loch Morrison Commits to Acadia

The Melfort Mustangs are proud to announce Defenceman Loch Morrison has committed to Acadia University for the 2018-19 season! Loch will play with the Acadia University Hockey Program following his junior hockey graduation this season.

“He has worked hard and deserves this opportunity to further his academic and hockey career” Melfort Mustangs Head Coach Trevor Blevins said. “We are very excited and proud to announce that Loch Morrison has made a commitment to Acadia University.” “He has been an outstanding Melfort Mustang on and off the ice.”

The Melfort Mustangs have a strong connection to Acadia University as Former Acadia Head Coach and now Director of Athletics, Kevin Dickie is a Mustang Alumni.

In 36 games with the Mustangs, Morrison has 14 goals and 43 points, leading the team in scoring. He is second among all SJHL Defencemen.

Prior to his time in Melfort, Morrison played parts of 4 seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Calgary Hitmen, Prince Albert Raiders and Victoria Royals. In 195 Regular season WHL games, Morrison put up 45 points.
