Millionaires Hand Bombers 1st Regulation Loss

Saturday marked another busy evening in the SJHL with five games on the schedule.

The night was highlighted by the Melville Millionaires hanging on to earn a 3-2 win over the Flin Flon Bombers, handing the Bombers their first loss in regulation this season. This also marked the first win for the Melville Millionaires in the Whitney Forum since 2015.

The Yorkton Terriers snapped their losing streak Saturday night in Kamsack with a 3-2 overtime win over the Melfort Mustangs. Dylan Ruptash scored the tying goal in the 3rd period and Terriers Captain Clay Sleeva played hero in the extra frame to give the Terriers their 4th win of the season. The Mustangs meanwhile earn a single point and finish the weekend with 3 out of 4 points. Melfort will be back on the ice Wednesday when they host the Estevan Bruins and the Terriers will begin three games in three nights Thursday in Battlefords.

The week will wrap up Sunday with a pair of games on the schedule. The La Ronge Ice Wolves will play host to the Melville Millionaires and the Notre Dame Hounds will wrap up their road trip in Nipawin against the Hawks.
