REGINA, SK – The La Ronge Ice Wolves snapped a four-game losing streak in style Tuesday, as a Cole Thomas hat trick led the way to a 7-4 win in Humboldt over the Broncos.
Logan Falk was masterful in net, making 47 saves for the victory.
Meanwhile, in Nipawin, Melville’s Luke Brunen outduelled new Hawk Nathan Claydon in a great goaltender battle, and the Millionaires took sole possession of first place in the SJHL standings with a 3-0 win.
Simon Parini’s second-period power-play goal stood up as the winner.
A third contest, Kindersley at Notre Dame, was postponed due to an arena issue in Wilcox. It will be rescheduled at a later date.
