With the Mustangs, he was a massive piece of their championship team, putting up 37 points in 24 regular season contests, before adding 20 points in 18 postseason matches. Sleeva also posted five points in five games in Oakville, as the Blue and Green finished runner-up at the Centennial Cup.

Sleeva, who also had a brief six-game span with the Tisdale Trojans, is a farm boy at heart and will likely be pursuing a degree in the agriculture field.
He isn’t the only northeast Saskatchewan player to commit to Red Deer in the last while, as former Nipawin Hawk, Alex Bernauer, announced his commitment last week.
The Kings had 16 SJHL veterans on their roster this past season.
