After going roughly 3.5 seasons without shutting out their opponent, the La Ronge Ice Wolves, namely Liam McGarva, have done it on back to back nights.

24 hours after opening a road trip with a shutout in Notre Dame, McGarva made 29 saves in a 4-0 shutout in Weyburn on Wednesday night.  McGarva has stopped all 51 shot he's faced to start this road swing.

Kyle Ford, Boston Maxwell and Daylon Mannon scored first period goals for the Ice Wolves (5-7-0-0), and Samson Mouland added one more in the third.

Aaron de Kok played the final forty minutes, making 19/20 saves in goal for the Red Wings (4-7-0-0).

The Estevan Bruins were shutout in back to back games over the weekend, and managed just 17 goals in their first 16 games.

That changed on Wednesday, when the Bruins, on the road, scored six first period goals in a 10-2 victory in Melville.

Devon Cyr scored a hat trick, Isaiah Thomas added a pair and Kade McMillen picked up a goal and three assists.  Tyson Manz had three assists, while Kolton Leslie (1g-1a), Eddie Gallagher (1g-1a), Tyler Savage (1g-1a) and Griffin Asham-Moroz alo scored for the Bruins (3-4-1-1).  Keenan Rancier made 36/38 saves.

The Millionaires (3-5-2-1) actually had the lead, when Aidan Steinke scored just 1:35 into the game.  Luke Nkwama rounded out the scoring late in the second.

The Battlefords North Stars scored two goals, 16 seconds apart in the third period to erase a two goal deficit, and went on to defeat the Melfort Mustangs 5-4 in a shootout, running their record to 11-1-0-0.

Rylan Nivon led the way with a goal, two assists and the winner in the shootout, while Kaden Boser, Carson Reagan and Quinton Loon-Stewardson rounded out the scoring.  Adam Dmyterko made 32/36 saves and was a perfect 3/3 in the shootout.

Kenzie Arnold had two goals and an assist for the Mustangs (7-2-2-1), while Zack Smith (1g-1a) and Tyson Meyers had the others.  Melfort led 3-1 after the first period and 4-2 late in the third.  The Mustangs now have points in 10 straight games (7-0-2-1).  Shawn Parkinson made 43/47 stops on Wednesday.

Chantz Petruic scored twice to take over the SJHL lead in goals, with 11 through 10 games, and the Yorkton Terriers beat the Notre Dame Hounds 6-3.

Tyson Janzen made his season debut, returning from injury with a goal and an assist.  Alec Zawatsky also had a goal and an assist, and Ethan Robson finished off the scoring.  Cooper Kennedy picked up his first SJHL win, making 33/36 saves.

Guillaume St Onge, Jake Dale and Cole Stevenson scored for the Hounds (4-7-1-0).
