October 13, 2015 - President Bill Chow announced today that the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) has signed an innovative corporate partnership with another long-standing Saskatchewan tradition, CAA.

“Our league continues to grow and prosper with the support of trusted provincial partners such as CAA,” said Chow. “We are pleased to share CAA Saskatchewan’s commitment to help all SJHL players reach their destinations safely and without concerns.

” As part of the partnership package, CAA will provide all 250 SJHL players, referees and billet families with a CAA membership for the 2015-2016 season. As a Member of CAA Saskatchewan, each player, referee and billet family will have access to roadside assistance or any other CAA related services including personal accident insurance.

“As a proud provincial organization, it’s important that we give back to the communities and Members we serve,” said Fred Titanich, President and CEO of CAA Saskatchewan. “We wish all SJHL players, referees and billet families a safe and successful year and welcome them to our CAA Saskatchewan family. “

“We are proud to partner with a provincial organization that is focused on the safety and well-being of all our Saskatchewan communities,” added Chow. “CAA is investing in the SJHL, but more importantly they are investing in our players, who will be our future community leaders.”

Chow believes the CAA membership is also a way to help increase peace of mind for the referees when travelling Saskatchewan highways to work their games.

“CAA Saskatchewan’s generosity is also a nice way to thank the billet families who accept our players into their homes during the hockey season,” said Chow.

For 98 years, Saskatchewan residents have trusted CAA to help keep them safe. Today we have approximately 185,000 CAA Members who continue to rely on us for roadside assistance. They also appreciate and value the insurance, travel and automotive services that are included with their CAA membership.

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has a long-standing tradition of excellence on and off the ice. Its mandate is to provide Saskatchewan Junior Hockey players with the opportunity to compete at an elite level while striving to achieve their educational and career goals.
