The Flin Flon Bombers got back in the win column Wednesday, scoring four first period goals on their way to a 6-1 win over the Weyburn Red Wings.

Donovan Houle-Villeneuve led the way with two goals and an assist.  Chrystopher Collin and Nate Hooper each had a goal and an assist, with Caleb Moretz and Caleb Franklin rounding out the scoring.  Pierce Diamond stood tall making 36/37 saves for the Bombers (16-8-0-2).

Ben Hiltz provided the only goal for the Red Wings (9-16-2-0) who are now halfway through their road trip, which resumes Friday in La Ronge.

The Kinderlsey Klippers headed south, opening a midweek trip with a 4-2 in over the Notre Dame Hounds, heavily out-shooting Notre Dame 46-24 in the process.

Austin Nault and Ty Enns each had a goal an assist for the Klippers (15-8-2-1) while the others came from Will Van Der Sloot and Noah Turanski, and Zach Johnson made 22/24 saves.

Jakob Breault scored both for the Hounds (13-14-2-3) while Marshall Wilton assisted on both.

Kindersley wraps their quick trip Thursday in Humboldt and then gets set to take on the Hounds again, this time at home on Saturday.  Notre Dame, fresh off a 3-in-3 last weekend, heads to Battlefords Friday before meeting the Klippers again.

The Estevan Bruins snapped out of a four game slide with a 4-1 win in La Ronge.

Grant Boldt made 32/33 saves to pick up the victory, while Turner Ripplinger (1g-1a), Michael McChesney (1g-1a), Eddie Gallagher and Isaiah Thomas scored for the Bruins (14-16-1-0), who move back into a tie for the Viterra Division lead with Yorkton.  The Bruins have played six extra games than the Terriers.  Estevan's trip resumes Friday in Flin Flon.

The Ice Wolves (6-23-0-0) have now dropped 12 straight, and got  a second period marker from Jake Gudjonson on Wednesday.
