CANALTA HOTELS SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Marshall Wilton, Notre Dame Hounds
1998 F Marshall Wilton (Emerald City SK) erupted for four goals and four assists in three games played, two of which were Notre Dame wins.  On Saturday night, Wilton had a hat trick in impressive fashion at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon. The Hounds trailed 6-3 in the third period when Wilton led the comeback scoring the fifth and sixth goal and then he sniped the winner in OT to complete the rally.  Wilton had a goal and two assists in La Ronge and also two assists on both of his team’s goals in Nipawin. Overall, he’s got 18-goals and 37-assists in 44-games played. Runner-up: Michael McChesney, Estevan.

SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK:  Blake Kleiner, Kindersley Klipppers
1998 D Blake Kleiner (Lethbridge AB) sparked the Klippers on their four game road trip by helping earn six points (3 wins).  Kleiner opened the scoring in the first minute in Yorkton on Tuesday. He scored again in a loss to Melville on Wednesday. He assisted on one in a victory over the Terriers on Friday and then had two more helpers Saturday back in Melville.  Kleiner is up to 7-goals and 18-assists in 40-games and has been an ice-time eater all year. Runner-up: Johnny Witzke, Estevan.

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK:  Kadin Kilpatrick, Estevan Bruins
2000 G Kadin Kilpatrick (Winnipeg MB) was pressed into duty for back to back games against the Weyburn Red Wings over the weekend and stopped 28-of-30 shots against the Wings to backstop the Bruins to consecutive victories and sole possession of first place in the Viterra Division.  Kilpatrick has picked up his game with four wins in a row and allowing just seven goals over that stretch. For the year, he’s 6-and-2 with a 2.96-GAA and .875-SPCT. Runner-up: Zach Johnson, Kindersley Klippers

DIRECTWEST SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:  Brett Gammer, Battlefords North Stars
2000 F Brett Gammer (Edmonton AB) has continued to progress and develop this season and that culminated on Saturday when he ripped 3-goals and 1-assist in a 9-1 wipeout of the Yorkton Terriers.  It was the third straight game in which Gammer got on the scoresheet. He also had an assist the previous night in an overtime win against Melville to end his week with 5-points in 2-games played.  He has 5-goals and 6-assists in his last 9-games overall and 12-goals and 14-assists in 46-games for the season. Runner-up: Jarrett Penner, Notre Dame.
