CANALTA HOTELS SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Owen Lamb, Battlefords North Stars
1998 F Owen Lamb (North Battleford SK) lit up the scoresheet with 4-goals and 4-assists in 3-games played, helping the North Stars earn two wins along the way to stay in the mix for first place in the Global Ag Risk Solutions Division.  Lamb had one goal and one assist on three goals scored against Melfort on Wednesday. He set up a pair of goals in a 7-4 win over Yorkton on Friday and then he finished the week with 2-goals and 2-assists in a 4-3 win over Nipawin on Sunday.  Lamb has a 5-game point scoring streak and is up to 22-goals and 23-assists in 48-games for the year. Runner-up: Brayden Camrud, Humboldt.

SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK:  Johnny Witzke, Estevan Bruins
1998 D Johnny Witzke (Bismarck ND USA) helped the Bruins by posting points in all three games played this week as Estevan solidified its hold on first place in the Viterra Division.  Witzke had a helper in a loss to Yorkton on Tuesday and then scored in a 2-0 shutout win over Melville on Friday. He had a goal and an assist in a win over the Mils on Saturday. For the season, Witzke has 12-goals and 25-assists in 51-games played.  Runner-up: Devan Harrison, Estevan.

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK:  Rayce Ramsay, Humboldt Broncos
2001 G Rayce Ramsay (Saskatoon SK) backstopped the Broncos to a pair of wins this past week, making 30-saves on 32-shots in a victory over the Notre Dame Hounds on Wednesday.  On Saturday, he turned away 22-of-24 shots as the Broncos defeated the Weyburn Red Wings. Ramsay has won his last five games and seven of his last eight. Overall, he’s 13-5-0-and-1 with a 2.60-GAA and .926-SPCT.  Runner-up: Berk Berkeliev, Melville.

DIRECTWEST SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:  Zach McIntyre, Humboldt Broncos
2001 F Zach McIntyre (Rhein SK) broke out of an offensive slump in a big way on Wednesday night, scoring a tiebreaking goal and then setting up the insurance marker in a 5-2 win over Notre Dame.  On Friday, McIntyre assisted on his team’s first goal in a shootout win over Weyburn. McIntyre has 8-goals and 10-assists in 46-games on the year. Runner-up: Alex Rondeau, Melfort.
