REGINA, SK – Battlefords North Stars forwards Anthony Campbell and Alessio Nardelli have committed to the State University of New York at Plattsburgh for the 2025-26 NCAA Division III campaign.
Campbell, 20, has played in 107 SJHL regular-season and eight playoff games, all for the North Stars. He has posted 112 regular-season and six postseason points over that span.
Before joining the Stars ahead of the 2024-25 season, Campbell notched 20 points in 53 games for the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Fort McMurray Oil Barons.
Nardelli, 21, was acquired from the Lloydminster Bobcats in the AJHL earlier in the season and has 30 points in 42 games thus far this campaign.
He had 56 points in 120 regular-season games in the Alberta league and has appeared in seven AJHL playoff contests.
The two played together for the 2022-23 Mount Academy Saints U18 team in the CSSSHL on Prince Edward Island.
Campbell hails from Philipsburg, QC, right on the Quebec-Vermont border, and is from only an hour north of Plattsburgh, NY.
Nardelli is from Laval, QC.
SJHL alums Jake Sacratini (Notre Dame) and Gabriel Fillion (Estevan) played for the Plattsburgh Cardinals this past SUNYAC campaign.
