Battlefords North Stars captain Tanner Gold has committed to the South Alberta Institute of Technology for the 2024-25 campaign.
Gold, 21, posted 96 points in 170 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League games, all with the Stars.
He also added three points in six games at the 2023 Centennial Cup in Portage La Prairie, MB.
A 5-foot-11, 174-pound defenceman, Gold becomes the seventh SJHL alumni to commit to SAIT of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference for next season. There were nine SJHLers on that roster a year ago.
The Medicine Hat, AB native joined the Stars out of South Alberta Hockey Academy U18 in 2021 and scored five points in 13 games in Battlefords’ 2023 Canterra Seeds Cup championship.
