OT WIN KEEPS STARS’ STREAK ALIVE

The Battlefords North Stars needed overtime, but picked up their sixth straight win, and 13th in 14 games to start the season, with a 4-3 (OT) decision in La Ronge on Wednesday night.

The Stars (13-1-0-0) trailed 1-0 in the first period, and 2-1 in the second, before taking the lead early in the third and finished it off in overtime, with a goal in each period on Wednesday.

Dace Prymak (1g-1a) scored the winner, 2:55 into OT, while Dylan McCabe and Austin Becker also scored, and Rylan Nivon added three assists. Austin Schwab made 31/34 saves in the win.

Daylon Mannon had a goal and an assist for the Ice Wolves (6-8-1-0), and his league-leading point total now sits at 26 (10g-16a). Kyle Ford added his team-high 11th goal, and an assist, while Dylan Thackeray also scored and Liam McGarva made 43/47 saves.
