SGEU MVP of the Week: Kaeden Serpa, Battlefords North Stars
Two games vs. their West-Sask rival, the Kindersley Klippers, two wins for the Stars, and Serpa was the biggest reason why. The Klips outshot the Stars on both occasions as the two teams had a home-and-home around New Year’s, and Serpa showed once again that he’s among the league’s elite goaltenders.

Bourgault Forward of the Week: Carter Geysen, Battlefords North Stars
Geysen was excellent in last year’s playoffs as a call-up and has hardly missed a beat this season as a full-time player. The White City, SK native has five points in his last three games, and was a big part of the Stars’ huge pair of wins to end 2025 and start 2026 vs. Kindersley.
Week Stats: 2 GP – 2 G, 2 A – 4 PTS
SuperU Defenceman of the Week: Linken Fisher, Battlefords North Stars
Whenever healthy, Fisher has been a super-consistent performer for Battlefords over his two campaigns, and already has a career high in points by seven in 13 fewer contests. With the team’s top defenceman and captain, Gavin Granger, gone at the Viking Cup this past week, Fisher averaged over 23 minutes of ice time in the two wins this week against their rival Klippers.
