SGEU MVP OF THE WEEK: Harmon Laser-Hume, Nipawin Hawks
The young netminder stood on his head through two appearances last week and the Nipawin Hawks won both games he started.
The 2003-born Creston, BC native turned aside an absurd 47 of 49 against the Flin Flon Bombers in one of his best performances of the year during a 4-2 Hawks win. He then followed it up stopping 14 of 15 Melfort Mustang shots in a 2-1 overtime win on the weekend.
Weekly Stats: (2gp, 2-0-0-0, 61/64, 1.50 GAA, .953 SV%)
Runner Up- Zac McIntyre, Yorkton Terriers

RBC FORWARD OF THE WEEK: Karsten Kruska, Yorkton Terriers

The Yorkton Terriers did everything they could to keep pace with the La Ronge Ice Wolves for the 6th playoff spot while separating themselves from the playoff line with some security. The Terriers went 3 for 4 in a busy week, with their lone loss coming to the Estevan Bruins.
No player had more points than Kruska last week, as he was a staple all week picking up six points across those four games, none more important than his two goal, two assist performance against the Ice Wolves in a 6-3 victory.
Weekly Stats: (4gp, 3g-3a-6pts)
Runner Up: Alex Morozoff, Humboldt Broncos

MAYFAIR DIAGNOSTICS SJHL DEFENCEMAN OF THE WEEK: Mkyllan Couture, La Ronge Ice Wolves.

Give credit to Kevin Kaminsky for acquiring the ultra-effective blueliner from the Nipawin Hawks prior to the trade deadline.
The Ice Wolves are currently in the middle of an insane six game stretch in just eight days.
Three of those games took place last week and Couture finished with three points throughout. It’s a grind where the Wolves will need to lean on their veteran players, and Couture is as important as any.

Runner Up: Nicksha Eric, Humboldt Broncos

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK: Michael Harroch, Battlefords North Stars

A tough week to single out just one goaltender.
Cam Hrdlicka, Rayce Ramsay, James Venne, and Alexis Giroux all deserve recognition, but it was the 45 save road shutout performance against the SJHL’s top team, the Estevan Bruins that rose to the top. It was the third shutout of the season for Harroch. He then stopped 28 of 30 in a win against the Hounds before exiting that game with an injury.
Weekly Stats: (1-0-0-0, 2GA, 73/75, 1.20 GAA, .973 SV%,)
Runner up: Alexis Giroux, Melville Millionaires

DIRECTWEST SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Elliot Dutil, Notre Dame Hounds

The lone rookie last week to fill the net four times. Dutil continued to do what he has done all season long, score goals.
He’s currently second in the league with 32 goals, first among rookies this season. His 60 points is fourth among all skaters and third among rookies in the SJHL.
Notre Dame in the midst of a heated battle for the final playoff spot, so Dutil needs to finish strong down the final stretch.

Runner up: Cam Hrdlicka, Estevan Bruins
