SGEU MVP OF THE WEEK: Davis Chorney, Weyburn Red Wings
In the 10th and final meeting, the Red Wings got the job done and defeated their rival, the Estevan Bruins. The man who stole the show was Davis Chorney.
The 2002-born Nipawin product scored all four goals including the overtime winner in the 4-3 win over the Bruins.
The Red Wings are out of the playoffs, but this win must have felt good.

RBC FORWARD OF THE WEEK: Drew Kuzma, Flin Flon Bombers
Everything as advertised since being acquired by the Bombers at the trade deadline.
The hulking power-forward contributing six points in three games for Flon, finding the stat sheet in each one of them.
The battle for third place is going right down to the wire, and Kuzma is doing his part to help the Bombers lay claim to that position. The 19-year-old is currently riding a seven-game point streak.

MAYFAIR DIAGNOSTICS SJHL DEFENCEMAN OF THE WEEK: Nate Looft, La Ronge Ice Wolves.
Leading the way among all SJHL defenseman this past week, the rookie d-man Nate Looft finished with six points in La Ronge’s four games.
Playing his first game since February 6th, Looft had himself a four-point night in the wild 8-7 come from behind OT win over Melville. He then added two more apples in their 4-1 win over Flin Flon.

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK: Cal Schell, Flin Flon Bombers
Now the franchise record holder for shutouts in a single season, Cal Schell has his name in the Flin Flon Bombers record books.
He notched his 7th shutout of the season, stopping all 29 shots faced against the Nipawin Hawks for the historic accomplishment. The veteran netminder then played both games, back-to-back, on the weekend and split the two-game series with the Ice Wolves.

DIRECTWEST SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Noah Wills, Melville Millionaires
A couple of career firsts for the rookie dynamo out of Melville.
His first career five-point night and first career hat-trick both came in the 8-7 loss to the Ice Wolves back on March 1st. The feat has him two points shy of a point-per-gam pace in his first full season with the Mills.
He also scored his 23rd goal of the season in their 3-2 loss to Estevan.
Wills leads the Mills in goals, assists, and points, and is sitting in 5th in SJHL Rookie scoring.
