RBC FORWARD OF THE WEEK: Jaeden Mercier, Flin Flon Bombers

You may not find his name among the league leaders in points, but dig deeper, because Mercier is one of the premier players in the SJHL.
One of the Bombers most potent offensive weapons has only played 25 games this year due to injuries. He has 30 points when he’s on the ice over those games. His points-per-game (1.20) ranks him 6th in the SJHL.
The 2002-born Mercier led the league in goals this past week, lighting the lamp five times in four games.

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK: Michael Harroch, Battlefords North Stars

Michael Harroch has an outstanding 12-3-2-1 record with the North Stars this season. However, two of his regulation losses came at the hands of his former team, the Humboldt Broncos.
You know it must have felt good for the 20-year-old netminder when he shutout the Broncos in Humboldt, stopping all 39 saves faced.
Harroch followed up that performance by stopping 28 of 31 shots in a 4-3 win over the always tough Melfort Mustangs.
Making the week even more impressive, these were the first outings since suffering an injury back on January 4th.
